UK Smoking Ban Makes Offline Bingos Suffer!
The United Kingdom is well over a year into the smoking ban (see our issue of November 22nd) and more than 50 land bingo based halls have closed their doors.
In Scotland the smoking ban has been in effect since March 2006 and most reports showed that it has been indeed, an absolute disaster for all the top bingo clubs. Income (which affects jackpots prizes) dropped up to 50% and scores of Bingo Halls were forced to close their doors
Some would say the current uncertain economic climate has contributed to the crisis but it has not stopped bingo players from joining Online Bingo Halls just like ours!
